Planning and Scheduling Engineers
Location: Finland, Helsinki
We are looking for:
Experienced planning / scheduling engineer for a large chemical processing plant investment project (among other projects) which will be completed by end of 2020. Assignment will start earliest 12/2019.
We will review and process applications on-the-go, so we will fill the position upon finding suitable candidate, therefore apply rather sooner than later.
As a Planning and Scheduling Engineers, you will:
- Actively engage and work with Project Management Team, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant customer representatives as well as other stakeholders
- Evaluate the project progress and forecast the future based on inputs from the other software tools or from Project Management Team

- Identify the project critical path, monitor it closely and communicate any changes to project manager and other team members
- Create, monitor, and analyze progressively elaborated project schedules in accordance with standard of best project practice and using approved templates
- Develop project baseline schedule according to contract and participate actively in change, risk and claim management
- Actively participate and support the project and site management team. Take identified issues into consideration when needed to develop and control the schedule
- Elaborate project progress and measurement system
- Manage and facilitate project planning process
- Define and Compile project controls manual
- Lead and develop team of schedulers
Your education and language skills:
- Have an education and/or experience background from project management, industrial management or construction management
- Are fluent in English. Adequate command of Finnish language is appreciated, but it is not a threshold matter
To succeed, you have:
- Have successful experience from industrial investment projects f.eg. from the field of chemical process, energy, pulp and paper, or other industrial construction
- Are Technically proficient in scheduling, software like MS Project, (or Primavera, Safran etc.)
- Have an experience of defining, setting up, refining, and using project schedule baselines, compiling schedule reports in project planning system
- Have an experience of working in team lead position or aptitude to act in such a role
